Lighting is the arrangment or effect of how the light looks in a photograph. This image shows a fair, pale backgound. There is a dark contour around the girl, who is the focal point. Although her skin is a pale colour, it gives off the effect that it has been sketched. . The girl's hair is quite weird and eccentric and also looks like it has been drawn rather than an image that has been naturally taken. I think this because the bun- part of her hair appears grainy. Her hair is reall neat and is a nice shape. It is actually the same size and shape as the balloon which makes the image look tidy and compact. The dress that the girl is wearing is a dark pinky colour, although it is not too vibrant and does not dominate the photograph. Even the balloon that the girl is blowing up isn't an intense colour, its clear. However you can see that there is a faint dark outline around the balloon. In some area's of the image, there are slight patchy parts- for example the bottom of the girls dress displays some lighter regions. This is where the surrounding light is exposed.
